Terms and Conditions

Potaschi Saunachalets
Version: September 2025

1. Scope

1.1 These Terms & Conditions govern the legal relationship between Potaschi Saunachalets, operated as a simple partnership (hereinafter “Provider”), and customers regarding the booking and use of the sauna chalets in Gstaad and Gsteig.

1.2 Bookings are usually made via the website [www.saunachalets.ch] (hereinafter “Website”).

1.3 Any differing terms and conditions of the customer only apply if the Provider has agreed to them in writing.

2. Subject of the Agreement

The Provider rents out time slots for the use of the sauna facilities in Gstaad or Gsteig at the prices and conditions published on the Website.

3. Booking and Payment

3.1 Booking

By submitting a booking via the Website or any other agreed channel, a binding contract is formed.

3.2 Payment

Payment must be made in advance via the payment methods offered on the Website and must be completed in full before the start of the booked session.

3.3 Time slots & late arrivals

Your booked time slot starts and ends exactly at the booked time. Late arrival or early departure does not entitle you to any refund.

4. Cancellation and Rebooking

4.1 Cancellation deadline

A cancellation is possible up to 24 hours before the start of the booked sauna session, provided the booking was made as a registered member. For bookings without registration, cancellation is not possible.

4.2 Refund

In the case of a timely cancellation according to section 4.1, no money will be refunded; instead, the customer receives a voucher equal to the booking amount, which can be used for a future booking. Bookings that are cancelled too late or not used at all will be charged in full; there is no refund and no voucher.

4.3 Rescheduling

Rescheduling an appointment is not possible. Bookings can be cancelled in line with section 4.1.

4.4 Unforeseen reasons

The Provider reserves the right to cancel bookings for unforeseen reasons (e.g., maintenance work, technical issues, official orders, force majeure). In such cases, a refund or alternative date will be offered. Any further claims are excluded.

5. Use of the Sauna

5.1 Own responsibility

Use of the sauna is at your own risk.

5.2 Health

The sauna may only be used by people who are physically and mentally healthy and free from infections. People with cardiovascular diseases, respiratory problems, elevated temperature/fever, open wounds, during pregnancy, or under the influence of alcohol or drugs should consult a doctor before using the sauna. Use of the sauna is always at your own responsibility; the Provider accepts no liability for health issues resulting from improper use or use that goes against these guidelines. The sauna facilities are unattended.

5.3 Group use

For comfort, the sauna is designed for groups of up to 4 people. Use by more people is generally possible but may reduce comfort.

5.4 Minors

Minors may only use the sauna when accompanied by a responsible adult.

5.5 Cleanliness & hygiene

Customers must leave the sauna in a clean condition.

Before use, the condition of the sauna must be checked and any damage reported to the Provider immediately (ideally with a photo) via the contact form on the website or by email.

Shoes must be left outside the sauna area; only clean flip-flops, bathing slippers or bare feet are allowed inside the sauna.

After use, the floor and benches must be cleaned with the provided cleaning materials. Waste must be disposed of in the designated bins.

5.6 House rules

Food is not allowed inside the sauna for hygiene reasons. Alcohol may only be consumed in moderation and at your own responsibility. Heavily intoxicated persons are not allowed to use the sauna. The renter is responsible for making sure that all guests are physically and medically able to use the sauna; using the sauna under the significant influence of alcohol or drugs is entirely at your own risk. If the Provider notices that someone is clearly impaired, they may deny use of the sauna; there is no right to a refund in this case. For infusions, only water and the fragrances provided on site may be used. Own substances or scents are not allowed. Guests must always wear swimwear in the outdoor area. Inside, you may use the sauna nude or with a towel, but a towel must always be placed under the entire body. Noise (e.g. loud music) must be kept to a minimum so as not to disturb the neighbours. Local regulations of the municipalities of Saanen and Gsteig must be observed. The sauna control unit in Gsteig may only be used for permitted temperature adjustments. Any unauthorised tampering with the control system will be charged to the customer.

5.7 Use of surrounding waters

Cooling off or swimming in nearby waters is at your own risk. Any liability is excluded.

5.8 General information and sauna rules

The general information and sauna rules shown on the pages for each location also apply.

6. Liability

6.1 Use of the sauna

Use of the sauna and all facilities is at your own risk.

6.2 Liability

The Provider is not liable, as far as legally permissible, for any direct or indirect damage resulting from the use of the sauna.

6.3 Damages

The customer is liable for all damage or contamination caused by them and agrees to fully cover the costs for repairs or cleaning.

6.4 Personal belongings

The Provider is not liable for loss or theft of personal belongings.

6.5 Unavailability of the sauna

The Provider accepts no liability for temporary unavailability of the sauna (e.g. due to maintenance work, technical issues or force majeure).

7. Data protection

7.1  Data Collection

The collection and processing of personal data is carried out solely in the context of bookings and in accordance with applicable data protection laws (DSG).

7.2 Consent to data processing

By placing a booking, the customer agrees to the processing of their data in line with the privacy policy published on the Website.

7.3 Access, correction & deletion of your data

Customers have the right at any time to request information about stored data, to have it corrected or deleted, and to object to processing, as long as there are no legal retention obligations that prevent this.

8. Changes to these Terms & Conditions

The Provider reserves the right to change these Terms & Conditions at any time. The current version will be published on the Website and applies from the moment of publication.

9. Severability clause

If any provision of these Terms & Conditions is or becomes invalid, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

10. Applicable law and place of jurisdiction

These Terms & Conditions and all contracts between customers and the Provider are governed exclusively by Swiss law.
The exclusive place of jurisdiction is Saanen, Switzerland, unless mandatory legal provisions state otherwise
